This galley style kitchen needed some creative thinking for functionality. Removed a hall, moved door opening for that bedroom, used as an office to the dining room area. New hardwood throughout. So much more space has made this kitchen so much more functional.

Coming soon! We are currently working on a base starting point for pricing on this 900 square foot Auxiliary Dwelling Unit ranch we a referring to as the Enfield ranch. The package will include price point, quality materials. Pricing is based on a 6ft foundation wall so all mechanicals can be stored in the basement along with opportunity for storage. We are also planning on the option for an 8ft foundation wall as a stand-alone primary residence on your building lot. The team at CCI will be happy to help you navigate the new ADU regulations to help determine the best possible option for your situation.

This project was a very special one for me personally! I have known the homeowners for 27 years and this project has been a topic of many conversations for over 20 years. Took down walls, installed a pretty good size beam to support the second floor. Removed the original bathroom allowing more room in the kitchen. The sunroom had been patched together for many years. That was removed and a new structure was built to house the new laundry room and bathroom. The thought and creativity that went into this project was pretty intense. I personally could not be happier with the way it came out and I know the homeowners are just loving their new space!

What Our Clients Say
Colonial Carpentry Innovations (CCI) did an exceptional job remodeling the west wing of our 200-year-old farmhouse! From our initial consultation to the project's completion, CCI demonstrated the craftsmanship, professionalism, communication, and transparency so essential when selecting a contractor. Bob, the owner/operator, clearly understands historic home construction and appreciates their inherent quirks, character, and charm.
This was evident from the start. After contacting CCI, they connected us with an architect and collaborated with us to achieve our design goals: modern amenities integrated with our home's original historic features. Detailed project planning was crucial as we had two critical needs: (1) minimize disruption to our kitchen & laundry room utility and (2) preserve and reuse existing historic elements in the remodel.
The project was strategically phased, allowing us to use most of the house throughout the renovation. Our functional downtime was minimal, even with major demolition needs, such as the removal of two chimneys, deteriorated flooring, exterior siding, two-thirds of the attic, a porch, an old outhouse, and more.
The CCI carpenters assigned to our project were professional, friendly, and meticulous. Throughout the demolition, they carefully salvaged as much wood as possible, including historic chestnut planks. These were beautifully repurposed in our kitchen, creating custom shelving, a vent hood, an accent wall, and a spectacular 9-foot island countertop that our family will enjoy for generations. We also retained our original tin ceiling and soapstone sink. They even reglazed and incorporated an original attic window into the redesign.
Inevitably, issues arose (as they do in older homes), but Bob and his team were always readily accessible. They promptly answered our questions, involved us in decision-making, and worked diligently to manage costs. The CCI team are true problem solvers.
The end result is a stunning transformation of our home that is now more energy-efficient, functional, and maintains the historic beauty that honors its 200-year history. We are incredibly grateful that Bob and the entire Colonial Carpentry Innovations team were such valuable partners in this project!
Bob, Jeremy, and crew did extraordinary work on our kitchen and bath remodels. The kitchen remodel included an unplanned and swift major reconstruction of structural elements above our kitchen and dining-room, preventing a roof collapse, and allowing a ceiling to be raised a foot - also unplanned, but done in stride.
Their style is collaborative: Conversations preceding work are careful and precise (as are estimates) and as work progresses. They solve problems without skipping a beat, but always consult and/or explain.
We really valued their contractor chops: close supervision/monitoring of subcontractors' and their own employees' work meant that things were done (sometimes re-done) correctly. It was great to see more experienced crew train newer team members as they worked together.
Our new kitchen and bath look beautiful, function beautifully, and are a pleasure to use. We recommend Colonial Carpentry!

We had a small half bathroom, wood floors and a closet installed in our master bedroom. Bob came out to do the initial estimate, but we primarily worked with Jeremy. Jeremy was responsive and easy to coordinate with. We described the project and he and his crew made it happen. He even offered to take care of smaller cosmetic issues not in the original score of the project. We would call Colonial Carpentry again for a future project.
Bob and his crew did such a great job with a challenging job at my house that other contractors didn’t want to touch. Bob listened to what I wanted out of the project, made adjustments as needed, and the work was terrific — all very professional, too. I’d use them again in a heartbeat!
